Here you will find information on the practice of a combination of physical therapies I have chosen to call Body Listening. It is a lifetime of learning combined to delivering skilled and enjoyable classes and treatments that aim at providing physical, emotional and mental resources to promote well being through self-awareness and the ability to learn tools that can lead to nervous system regulation.
Body Listening consists of a combination of movement and music, dance of awareness, yoga, visualisation, meditation and massage therapy skills, as well as, somatic awareness through trauma informed Relational Skills. As a body therapist, yoga and dance teacher, I draw information from a range of techniques to provide unique, effective, and enjoyable classes and treatments.
The idea to combine my expertise into Body Listening came after acquiring a post graduation certificate in physical therapy/ACMT at Jing School of Massage & Training and completing a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course in India in 2010, as well as, several other CPD/trainings for over 30 years. That includes Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga at Yoga Alliance and Trauma-informed Relational Skills at Somatopia to name a few trainings over the years. I have worked at Neal's Yard Remedies in Oxford since 2005-2020, as well as privately and at other venues in the UK and abroad.
There are a range of treatments available such as: Myofascial Release, Hot/Cold Stones Therapy, Advanced Clinical Massage, Holistic Medical Massage, Pregnancy & Postnatal Treatments and P&P Yoga, Hatha and Trauma Informed-Restorative Yoga classes, as well as, Dance workshops. These are currently available in Oxfordshire and in the Cotswolds, in some cases, online and abroad.
